Dr. Robert A. Schuller
Robert A. Schuller founded Rancho Capistrano Community Church at the Crystal Cathedral’s south campus in San Juan Capistrano, California.
On this beautiful 170 acre campus he developed a Church, a School (Pre-12) and a Retreat Center which included 65 suites. It was at the Retreat Center where he and his wife, Donna launched a recovery ministry in 1991 which was followed by the publication of his 9th book, Dump Your Hang-Ups Without Dumping Them On Others. In 1985, Rev. Schuller was given a Doctorate Degree by the National Hispanic University for his charity work in Mexico and in 2008 was awarded another Doctorate Degree by the California Graduate School of Theology for his extensive work in ministry. He serves as a founding member on the Board of Directors for The Global Peace Foundation, a global inter-faith organization working on peace initiatives around the world. In the U.S.A. he has been instrumental in assisting GPF with their continued efforts to protect and uphold the First Amendment of The U.S. Constitution. His work with GPF includes extensive global travel where he continues to spread the love of Jesus with Vital Living Daily (online devotions and videos), Vital Living Weekly, (Live Sunday services seen on Facebook), and Vital Living Monthly (a live phone call teaching event which is also see live on Facebook) He and his wife also host, The Gathering Church in San Jose del Cabo, BCS, Mexico. He spends much of his time traveling and participating in various other private and public speaking and preaching opportunities in churches, homes and at private events.
Dr. Schuller was seen on the Hour of Power television broadcast continually, from 1976-2008 and still appears when invited. He started by reading scriptures and offering prayers almost every Sunday and delivering several messages a year. Those responsibilities continued to grow until January 22, 2006 when Robert A. Schuller was installed as the second senior pastor of the Crystal Cathedral and her Ministries. For nearly three years he was the anchor on its internationally televised “Hour of Power” television program, watched worldwide by more than 20 million people each week. According to Neilson and Arbitron it was considered the number one religious program of television. Based in the USA, the internationally televised ministry had offices in The Netherlands, Canada, Russia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, England, Australia, New Zealand, London, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
An accomplished author and speaker, Robert A. Schuller has written 17 books, including the most recently released, When You are Down to Nothing, God is Up to Something and The New York Times best-seller, Walking in Your Own Shoes.
In 2008, Dr. Schuller became the Chairman and Principal of Comstar Media, “Home of Family Programming.” Comstar managed two Cable TV networks, You Too T.V.(the worlds’ first social T.V.) and Family Net. Collectively these networks provided over 30 million households with family friendly, positive programming, 24/7.
He and his wife founded The Robert Schuller Ministries and continue to minister to people of all ages and cultures, wherever and whenever God calls.
Robert A. Schuller has four adult children and 6 grand children and resides in Orange County, California with his wife Donna.
Donna Schuller
Donna is a well-known inspirational speaker, television co-host, nutrition and wellness expert, published author, and international peace advocate.
She has spoken to both commercial and non-profit groups of thousands in the United States, Asia, Europe, Russia, The Ukraine, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, The Middle East, The Philippines, Brazil, and Mexico. For several years she was the featured Mother’s Day speaker to millions of people via The Hour Of Power television show.
As a certified nutritionist, wellness coach, and martial artist she is the sole proprietor of Healthy Family, Happy Life. She offers private coaching and group workshops in body, mind, and soul health. Her international following is served through her blogs, telephone and webinar classes, and her website.
She was the co-founder of the Possibility Living Seminars, where she taught exercise and healthy eating. for attendees who flew in from across the globe. She also co-founded Balanced for Life and Possibility Living national radio programs and most recently, The Call and The Gathering.
She has a passion for young people and has instructed elementary through high school students in after school programs in sports, nutrition, and balanced living. In addition she developed, implemented, and facilitated an after-school divorce recovery program for children. As part of an internship in her studies of drug and alcohol treatment and recovery, she also worked part-time in the adolescent drug recovery wing for Charter Hospital of Mission Viejo.
Donna is an advisory member for The Global Peace Foundation and a founding board member for Global Peace Women, which are international inter-faith organizations, involved in hands-on peace-advocating policies which impact society across the globe. She is also on the advisory board for Women For The Family, a part of The Vatican Foundation For The Family, a global interfaith organization. As a member of these organizations she travels abroad extensively and speaks passionately about self-discovery, and the need for peace within oneself and in one’s own family before there can be peace in the world. She serves on the advisory board for Grandma’s House of Hope which establishes and runs transitional living facilities and programs for “invisible populations” of women and girls in Orange County, California.
She is a member of Soroptimist International of Laguna Beach which means “best for women”. In 2004 they gave her the “Woman of Distinction” award for her extensive volunteer work.
She is married to Dr. Robert A. Schuller who was previously the senior pastor of the Crystal Cathedral and The Hour of Power. As a co-pastor the two of them have traveled and spoken internationally for many years. She has four adult children and four grandchildren, with a fifth due in January 2017.
Her authored and published books include, “Healthy Family, Happy Life: What Healthy Families Learn From Healthy Moms,” “A Legacy of Success, Building Hope For Tomorrow”, and “Woman To Woman Wisdom”. Donna also co- authored “How To Be An Extraordinary Person In An Ordinary World” and was a contributing author to “Dump Your Hang-ups Without Dumping Them On Others” and “Possibility Living.”
Guideposts Magazine published her work titled, “Make Your Home A Haven Of Peace.”
Donna lives with her husband Robert, in Newport Beach, California. She spends her leisure time exercising and participating in sports, traveling; and spending time with her husband, her adult children and her grandchildren. She earned a second-degree black belt in TaeKwonDo in her forties.
